Where the prices come from
Dispensaries publish their menus online. Overgrowth reads those public menus straight from each dispensary's own menu system and shows what the store lists: the product, the size, the price, the sale price when there is one, and the THC on the label. Nothing is typed in by hand and nothing is estimated.
How current it is
Menus are read about every 30 minutes while dispensaries are open and every two hours overnight. On a desktop, the header shows how long ago the menus were last read. A product that leaves a store's menu leaves the results on the next successful read.
What a click does
Shop now opens that product on the dispensary's own menu, in a new tab. Overgrowth sells nothing, holds no stock, takes no orders and handles no payments. The purchase, pickup or delivery is between you and the dispensary.
Ordering and ranking
Results are ordered by what you choose: best sellers, best match, value as THC per dollar, biggest discount, price or THC. No dispensary pays to be listed, placed or ranked, and there is no sponsored placement. Best sellers reflects movement observed across dispensaries' menus, not a store's sales report; where a menu gives no such signal, products rank by how many dispensaries carry them.
Privacy
There are no accounts. Saved and recently viewed items live only in your browser. Overgrowth keeps a count of which products are clicked, with no identifier of any kind attached.
Coverage
67 of Connecticut's licensed adult-use dispensaries, across 41 towns: every one whose menu system Overgrowth can read. A dispensary whose menu stops answering keeps its last-read menu for up to two days, then drops out until it answers again.
Mistakes
Menus change by the minute, and a store can post a price Overgrowth has not read yet. The dispensary's own page is the final word on price and stock. Overgrowth is for adults 21 and over.
